Deserted building Melville Fire Department in the news
Thomas Crist | November 14, 2008 at 7:09 pm
The Melville Volunteer Fire Company’s first firetrucks. A 1925 and a 1926 American-LaFrance pumpers purchased used from the Huntington Fire Department for $101 each. They are pictured at what was once the annual fire department fair.
I’d love to know what ever happened to them!

The fire department still had its annual fair when I was growing up in the ’50s and ’60s.
